Everything you track for each contractor
A complete record of every pro who has worked on your home.
How contractor tracking works
Keep the contractors you trust, and what you paid them
A good plumber, electrician or roofer is hard to find twice. Write it down once.
What to record about each contractor
Save the name and company, phone and email, trade, license number and insurance status. Add your own rating and notes, such as who showed up on time, who explained the repair and who left the site clean.
Steadwell is a record of the pros you choose. You decide who to hire, and the tracker remembers the details so you do not have to.
Log every visit
After each job, record the date, the work performed, the cost, any parts replaced and any warranty on the work. Attach the invoice, or scan it and let Steadwell fill in the details. If you forward invoices to your Steadwell capture address, they can be linked as a service log entry automatically.
Over time you can see what each contractor has cost you, what each trade costs per year, and how the totals compare.
A service record that helps later
When the same problem comes back, you can see who fixed it last time, what they did and whether it was under warranty. When you sell, the list of professional work done on the house is part of the story you tell a buyer.
On Pro you can invite a spouse, partner or team member to the home. They work from the same home records, so everyone knows who to call.
Steadwell compared with phone contacts and notes
A phone number is not a service history.
| Phone contacts or a notes app | Steadwell | |
|---|---|---|
| What you save | A name and a number. | Contact, trade, license, insurance, rating and notes. |
| Past work | You try to remember. | Date, work done, cost and parts for every visit. |
| Spending | Unknown. | Total per contractor, per trade and per year. |
| Invoices | In email or a drawer. | Attached to the visit, or captured by forwarding. |
| Household | Only on your phone. | On Pro, invite people to work from the same home records. |
